DURALIGHT® A story that starts way back

1994.
The first composite material production plant Teuco immediately realised the huge potential of these composite materials, and of Duralight® in particular, because the material, tactile and durability performance they offer is truly exceptional. For this reason, in 1994 Teuco started up its first production plant dedicated to composite materials, including Duralight®, producing them in slab form and supplying them to companies in the furniture industry. Ever since, Teuco has had exclusive rights to formulate and process Duralight®.
1997-2000.
The application possibilities of Duralight® are limitless. Thanks to the perfect combination of superior performance and aesthetic beauty, Duralight® quickly becomes a major force in interior design: between the late 1990s and the early 2000s, Teuco completed its first projects in the contract industry, including the toilets at Athens airport and the customised wash basins for a large shopping centre in Catania.
2006.
Teuco launches its first bathroom products in Duralight®. Teuco thus decides to bring the qualities of Duralight® into everyday use, producing bathroom products made of this material: 2006 saw the launch of the Feel and View bathtubs and the Unlimited shower tray range.
2009.
Paper - the revolutionary Duralight® bathtub project - is launched. Owing to the constant improvements in technology and production efficiency, Teuco launched Paper in 2009: a modular Duralight® bathtub project that further revolutionised the market of Solid Surface products in terms of flexibility, customisation possibilities and prices.
2010.
New products and solutions from the world of customised projects. The many projects devised to supply the Contract market gave rise to the most diversified customised products, including the supply of bathrooms and entire settings in Duralight®. Some of these solutions were then industrialised and included in the Teuco catalogue. These include the Duralight® wash basins: sit-on or inset solutions, which are modular and totally customisable in terms of shape, size and out-of-square design, completely configured to the match customer's requirements.
